UHV Men’s Soccer Starts Conference Tourney Friday

UHV men’s soccer was one win away from going through Red River conference regular season play unbeaten.
The Jaguars were also a win away from getting a conference tournament bye. LSU-Alexandria did not care about either of those details, beating UHV Monday, 2-0. Now the UHV men have to play a first round conference tournament game. I asked two Jaguars how they felt about that. Said center back Brandon Watts, “Obviously we’re all disappointed. We’re just trying to put it behind us now and focus on the next game, the big quarterfinal on Friday.” Said RRAC Offensive Player Of The Week Jose Munoz, “It was a game where obviously we had been playing games all week. Coming back on Monday the schedule was just off. We could tell our guys were not ready physically and mentally. It was a good loss for them so we can learn going into the tournament.”
UHV men’s soccer will start Red River conference tournament play at the UHV Cage. The Jaguars face Our Lady Of The Lake Friday afternoon at 1:00.

The University of Houston-Victoria men and women’s quarterfinals matches for the 2018 Raising Cane’s RRAC Soccer Championships have been set for this Friday and Saturday.
