UHV Men’s Soccer Makes History

Jaguars Off To Best Start Ever

UHV men’s soccer, making history.
With their 4-0 win at the Cage last Sunday over Concordia, the Jaguars are off to their best start in program history at 6-0. Team-leading scorer Brody Patience started the scoring for UHV, and he was followed by Adrian Rodriguez, Daniel Gribben and Jean Bosco Irumva. Two Jaguars told me how much it means to them to get off to their best-ever start.

Said midfielder/winger Burabari Nalelo, “We’re pretty excited. It’s all a team thing. We’re all committed, we all put in the effort. We all tell each other before the games that we’re fighting for each other and it works out pretty good. “

Said left back Jacob Collen, “It’s been a great start to the season. That’s the work that we’ve put in in the pre-season. Lots of good lads have come in added to the squad that we had last year. It was a young squad last year and it’s just got better.”

UHV men’s soccer returns to action Thursday when the Jaguars travel to Texas Wesleyan for a 7 p.m. match.
