UHV Jaguars win both games in doubleheader to TAMUSA

UHV softball defeats TAMUSA in doubleheader

VICTORIA,Texas–The UHV Jaguars softball team played a doubleheader against Texas A&M San Antonio who happen to also be, Jaguars. It was a battle of the Jaguars in game one as they went head to head.

Michelle Kristoff started for UHV, pitching all seven innings, allowing just one run off four hits. Kristoff shut out TAMUSA through five innings. TAMUSA gets a run in the fifth with a single to right field.

UHV does get on the board first with a run in the fourth, off an RBI single to right center by Felicity Alamillo. Game tied at 1 heading into the bottom of the fifth and UHV is able to get another run in to take the 2-1 lead, and what would be the game winning run as the UHV Jaguars win 2-1.

In game two, UHV scores two runs early in the first inning and they add three more in the second before having a huge third inning driving in six runs. UHV”s defense held the TAMUSA Jaguars to only three runs. The UHV Jaguars go on to win game two 11-3.
