UHV Jaguars win back-to-back RRAC titles

The Jaguars win the tournament by 38 strokes

VICTORIA, Texas — The University of Houston- Victoria men’s golf team are the Red River Athletic Conference champions for the second year in a row.

The UHV golf team came into the day holding on to a five shot lead. By the end of the final day, the Jaguars would end up winning the tournament by 38 strokes.

The UHV golfers were so dominant they finished in first, second, third, fifth and sixth. Jaxon Langford led the Jaguars posting a three day total of 217 strokes, which is just one over par through the three day tournament being named the tournament champion. Carson Caylor finished just three strokes behind Langford shooting 220. Jacob Flores finished in third place, eight strokes back with a final score of nine over par. The fourth and fifth place finishers for UHV are Will Paton and Max Schliesing who finished 12 over par and 14 over par respectively.

Our Lady of the Lake as a team finished second, Louisiana College took third, Texas A&M San Antonio fourth, and Jarvis Christian finished in fifth. The Jags will now advance to the NAIA National Champions tournament set for May 17-20 at TPC Deer Run in Silvis, Illinois. Last year, the Jaguars finished in 14 in nationals.
