UHV Baseball To Open Season At Riverside

Jaguars To Host Doubleheaders Friday, Saturday

UHV baseball opens its season at Riverside Friday afternoon.

Head coach Terry Puhl, who is just four wins shy of his 300th career coaching victory, has five every day starters and two starting pitchers back among his 13 returnees. One of the returning pitchers, Red River Conference Newcomer Of The Year Bailey Kolb from Industrial. Two Jaguar pitchers talked with our Sean Coffey about starting the season with four home games this weekend.

Said Kolb, “Pretty pumped, ready to see how this team’s gonna be and we’re just gonna build off of that. But I’m ready.”

Said Andrew Loudermilk, “Oh, we’re super excited. We’re trying to win all four so that way we can get coach’s 300th out of the way, and then from then on we just keep going.”

UHV baseball opens the season Friday afternoon at 3:00 at Riverside. The Jaguars play a doubleheader against Mid-America Christian.
