UHV baseball team swept by LSU-Alexandria
Jaguars lose both doubleheaders to LSU-Alexandria
VICTORIA,Texas–The University of Houston-Victoria Jaguars baseball played a doubleheader against the LSU-Alexandria Generals on Friday on the road.
In the first game, the Jaguars scored two runs right away in the first inning but they wouldn’t score again until the seventh. lLSU Alexandria would score two in the seventh adding to their two runs to give them the 4-3 win. It ended a really close game for the Jguars and they went into the second gmae hoping they could pull out a win. But this time the Generals scored in the first inning bringing in four runs. The Jaguars scored a run in the fourth, two in the sixth and one in the eight but it wouldn’t be enough as the Generalss scored 6 runs in the seventh inning winning 16-6.
The UHV Jaguars had another doubleheader on the road on Saturday against LSU-Alexandria.
The Jaguars would lose the first game 13-4. But the second game UHV kept it really close. Jaguars scored first in the second inning and had a big inning with three runs scored in the sixth, but not as big as the seventh inning was for the Generals as they would score five runs. Even though the Jaguars answer back with two runs in the eight and ninth innings, they would fall short a run and lose 9-8.
