UHV Baseball Loses At Home

UHV baseball suffered its third straight loss Tuesday afternoon. I was at Riverside for the Jaguars’ second meeting in three days with St. Mary’s. The Rattlers get two in the first off Bo Sheridan, then two more off Bo in the second from this blast by Jacob Arevalo. St. Mary’s hit up Jaguar pitching for 16 runs in the first four innings, and the Rattlers come away with the 18-3 win in seven innings. St. Mary’s got six earned runs off UHV freshman Collin Quinn from El Campo in a third of an inning. NAIA Pre-Season All-America Andrew Gross gets the Jaguars’ two RBI’s. UHV baseball, now 2-4 on the season, starts Red River Conference play Friday at LSU-Shreveport.
