UHV Baseball Gets Swept In Texarkana
Jaguars Lose Two Out Of Three In Series
Texarkana, Texas — A rough Saturday for UHV baseball on the road.
UHV baseball ended its nine-game losing streak Friday with a Red River conference win at A&M-Texarkana. That put the Jaguars in seventh place in the conference standings, a half game out of sixth. The top six teams in the standings advance to the Red River conference tournament.
Then came Saturday, and the Jaguars get swept in Texarkana.
UHV loses game one, 4-3. The Jaguars scored all their runs in the seventh inning to tie the game. West-ex Garrett Harrison drove in two of those runs. El Campo grad Collin Quinn gives up the game winning run in relief in the seventh to get the loss. The Jaguars lose game two, 11-1 in seven. The Jaguars were held to just five hits. Tyler Price gave up eight earned runs in six and a third to get the loss. That drops UHV to 10-14 in conference play. UHV baseball plays a non-conference game at St. Mary’s Tuesday night.
