Two new COVID-19 related deaths and six new confirmed cases reported in Victoria County

VICTORIA, Texas- The Victoria County Public Health Department is reporting Wednesday two additional COVID-19-related deaths in Victoria County.

The patients, a female Victoria County resident in her 70’s and a male Victoria County resident in his 70’s were both hospitalized in Victoria. To respect and honor the families, no further personal information will be released.

A statement from the The Victoria County Public Health Department explains that they have reviewed death certificate data from the Department of State Health Services and received notification of 16 additional COVID-19 related deaths of Victoria County residents that we will now include in our totals.

As of 5:15 pm Wednesday, there are:

  • 6 new, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Victoria County
  • 79 currently active cases of COVID-19 in Victoria County
  • 3,984 total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Victoria County
