Infant and toddler killed in mobile home fire in Hallettsville
Cause of double fatal fire under investigation
HALLETTSVILLE, Texas – The Hallettsville Police Department said two children were killed in an early morning fire at a mobile home in the 300 block Pecan St, mobile home number 18. One child was a three-year-old and the other a five-month-old.
Authorities said the father was home at the time and was taken to the hospital due to his emotional state. The mother of the two children was at work at the time.

this happened in the 300 block of south Pecan Street at mobile home number 18.Victoria county Fire Marshal’s office was asked to help in the investigation. Fire Marshal Richard Castillo, says that the investigation is still ongoing.
“At this point we are still conducting this investigation, for cause and origin. We have the state fire marshal, assisting Lavaca county, as well as ourselves, and Hallettsville P.D,” said Castillo.
Authorities say that the cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time.
