Two in hospital, one toddler dead after car crash on highway 185
One child dead, while two in stable condition
VICTORIA, Texas – A fatal single car crash happened Tuesday, September 15 a little after 3 p.m. Two are in the hospital and a toddler is dead, said Sergeant Ruben San Miguel.
Shannon Gamble, 24, was driving her car east on state highway 185 just before FM 1686 with her two children.
San Miguel said Gamble went off the road into the center median.
Gamble continued to drive off into a grassy area and rolled over multiple times before being ejected from the car. The 18-month-old toddler male was also ejected from the car during the roll-over.
The 3-year-old female toddler had to be extracted from the car by emergency personnel, San Miguel said.
The male toddler was transported by helicopter to a hospital in Houston and is now in stable condition.
The three-year-old female toddler died, San Miguel confirmed.
Gamble was transported to Citizens Medical Center and is in stable condition in the ICU.
This is an ongoing investigation.
