Twenty-year-old arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance during traffic stop
FAYETTE COUNTY, Texas – According to Sheriff Keith Korenek, on Wednesday around 1 a.m., Deputy Dustin Kieschnick conducted a traffic stop on a Mercedes passenger car on State Highway 71 eastbound near Trinity School Road.
When approaching the occupants of the vehicle, Kieschnick detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. The female driver admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle and allowed a search of the vehicle.
After searching the vehicle, a small bag of marijuana was located, a vape pen with what is believed to contain THC oil in the pen and a stack of U.S. currency, totaling $4,005.
The driver was identified as 20-year-old Macy Layne Witt-Nobles of Rosharon, Texas. Witt-Nobles was arrested and transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center and charged with Felony Possession of Controlled Substance. The vehicle was released to the male passenger of the car.
