Trump suggests delaying November election

POTUS fears foreign meddling

WASHINGTON- President Donald Trump on Thursday questioned whether the 2020 presidential election should potentially be postponed, claiming it could be ripe for fraud.

The president, tweeting the suggestion this morning. One he has no power to enforce.

The tweet sent at 8:46 a.m. EST says, “With Universal Mail-In Voting (not Absentee Voting, which is good), 2020 will be the most INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election in history. It will be a great embarrassment to the USA. Delay the Election until people can properly, securely and safely vote???”

That tweet, following one where the president said, “Mail-in voting is already proving to be a catastrophic disaster.”

Calling it an “Easy way for foreign countries to enter the race,” and saying “there’s no accurate count!”

Only Congress can change the date for the presidential general election.
