Tropical Showers and Storms This Afternoon and Overnight

Isolated Showers Early Wednesday

The combination of deep tropical moisture, a weak stationary front in the area, and an approaching upper level disturbance gave rise to scattered showers and thunderstorms over the Crossroads late today. We can expect sufficient instability to linger overnight and through early Wednesday for more beneficial rainfall before conditions begin to dry out. Late week also will give rise to temperatures, with increasing upper level ridging capping off rain chances and fomenting a return to heat indices above 100 degrees. Look for very isolated showers over the weekend and into Monday, then another disturbance suggests scattered thunderstorms again on your Tuesday. Highs will be in the 90s and lows in the 70s.
