Triple Digit Heat, Lots of Humidity, but No Rain Anytime this Week

The broken record of “upper level ridge” may be getting old, but it’s not out of style. The Crossroads continues to be oppressed by a stifling combination of heat and humidity while the causal agent inhibits the chance for meaningful rainfall. The upper level ridge is the culprit in this scenario, and it won’t get out of here until late in the weekend. Once the high shifts into the Deep South, deep tropical easterly flow will allow a chance for rain next week. Meanwhile, the tropical Atlantic and Eastern Pacific Basins continue quiet.
