Trial begins for Edna woman claiming self defense after being charged with murder
EDNA, Texas — An Edna woman on trial accused of murder is claiming self defense. The District Attorney’s office says jury selection started Monday in the 2017 case.
Amber Sorensen is accused of killing her boyfriend, Jarrett Paul Parker with a gun. She’s pleaded self defense and in addition to facing a murder charge Sorensen is also facing two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and one count of Manslaughter.
