Trey’s First Warn Wednesday AM Forecast (8/17) – Hot and Dry Today
Heat index value 100 plus
Today: Mostly sunny and hot. High: 97. Heat index ~ 109. Winds: S 10 mph.
Tonight: Partly cloudy. Low:75. Winds: S 10 mph.
Thursday: Isolated rain showers. Hot. hHgh: 97. Winds: S 10 mph. Rain chance 30%.
Synopsis: Return to hot and dry for now, as high pressure has ridged back in. On Thursday, high pressure begins to move out again, allowing a weak stationary front to sink southward toward the area. This front will not make it through the area, but will help create more instability in our atmosphere. This along with some tropical moisture from the Gulf will increase rain chances though the weekend. Rain chances reduce a bit for the first of next week, with only small chances expected. Still hot, highs in the upper 90’s each day. ~ Trey
