Thursday: Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. High: 89. Winds: SE 10 mph. Rain chance 50%.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with scattered rain showers. Low: 75. Winds: E 10 mph. Rain chance 30%.

Friday: Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. High: 90. Winds: SE 10 mph. Rain chance 50%.

Synopsis: A very wet pattern developing over the next week or so. Really catching up on needed rainfall. Strong low pressure center aloft presently over west Texas, will remain to our west over the next several days, will keep rain chances high. Looking toward the upcoming Labor Day weekend, another strong upper low will dig down into the state. This low aloft will remain over the state, blocked by two high pressure center both east and west of the low, limiting its movement. This scenario will keep rain chances high through the holiday weekend and well into next week. Some heavy rain and localized flooding will be possible at times. Keep weather aware. ~ Trey
