Slight risk of severe weather tonight

 

Today: Scattered thunderstorms, becoming more numerous late afternoon and evening hours. High: 84. Winds: SE 10 – 20 mph. Rain chance 40% during the day.

Tonight: Numerous thunderstorms overnight, ending before sunrise on Saturday. Some storms could be severe. Low: 72. Winds: S then N 10 – 20 mph with higher gusts. Rain chance 80%.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, cooler and less humid. High: 75. Winds: N 10 – 20 mph.

Synopsis: Rain chances on the upswing overnight tonight, as a stronger cold front and associated thunderstorms move through. Some storms could be severe, so watch and listen for weather developments, manly Friday night into early Saturday morning. Cooler and dryer air will rush in behind the front, giving us a cooler feel. Moisture begins return by Monday, allowing for some slight rain chances to occur. In the meantime, be weather aware Friday evening, especially if you plan to attend any of the local football games. ~ Trey
