Tornado warning for south-central Victoria County until 1:45 p.m.
Take shelter and precautions if you are in that area
VICTORIA, Texas – The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a tornado warning for south-central Victoria County in south-central Texas until 1: 45 p.m.
A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near McFaddin, moving northeast at 5 mph, and will be near Bloomington around 1:45 p.m. This includes US Highway 77, between MM 592 and 594.
Flying debris is possible and could be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes could be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, vehicles and trees is possible.
Take precautions and move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building and avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter to protect yourself from flying debris.
