Two local contested races on the DeWitt County ballot
DEWITT County- Here are some of the top headlines in the February 9 edition of The Cuero Record.
Early voting for the March 1 Primary starts Monday at the DeWitt County Annex. There are two contested races on the ballot. Brian Carson is asking for a first term while Richard Randle is seeking re-election as DeWitt County Commissioner, Pct. 4. Selena Condie is pursuing a first term as Justice of the Peace, Pct. 1 and Peggy Mayer is seeking re-election. Cuero has landed in Region 3 after UIL realignments. Gobbler head coach and AD Jack Alvarez says this is very similar to the competition level as last season except there is no Navasota.
The Lady Gobblers defeated La Vernia this past Saturday they are currently tied with Navarro for the number two seed for District 27-4A.
