Three vehicle accident sends 7 people to hospital on Hwy 59
VICTORIA, Texas — DPS responded to a three vehicle accident on Highway 59 North and Highway 185 Sunday evening.
According to a trooper a Ford F-150 was going south on 59 when he crossed over the median and hit a Toyota head on.
One lane was closed for about an hour. Texas DPS Spokesperson Trooper Ruben San Miguel says the F-150 was driving south on US 59 and for reasons still under investigation lost control, crossed into the center median and went into the northbound lanes.
A Chevy Silverado hit the F-150 in the driver side, the F-150 rolled over and came to rest in the grassy ditch.
The Silverado came to rest in the shoulder facing north.
A Toyota was traveling behind the F-150 and was damage by debris.
The driver of the F-150 was transported to Citizens Hospital and in stable condition.
6 people in the Chevy Silverado were transported to Citizens and Detar.
Among those in the Chevy was a 2-year-old who was transported to University Hospital in San Antiono where their status is unknown along with 45-year-old female.
All the occupants in the Toyata where not injured.
