The week starts off with rain, wind and colder temperatures

VICTORIA, Texas- Tonight:  Temp’s overnight could stay in the 60’s but storms and colder air is on the way with moderate winds and cloudy, rainy conditions. Low: 60.  Winds: SE 5-10/NE After Midnight.  60% chance of rain.  Coastal patchy fog lingers along with potential 5 am thunderstorms.

Monday:  Cloudy and a little breezy while temperatures stay below average along with more rain and early coastal fog.  High: 64. Winds: N 5-15/G20 mph. 60% chance of a rain.  Temperatures could drop down to 57 degrees by 5 pm.

Monday Night: Cloudy and potentially rainy with cool breezy winds out of the north.  Low: 48 degrees. Winds: N 10-15/G25 mph. A 40% chance of rain.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with some early rain chances with cool temperatures and breezy winds.  High: 62. Winds: N 15/G20 mph. A 30% chance for rain showers.

Extended Forecast: Tuesday Night through Sunday: After dropping down to 42 degrees Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, a warm front will bring warm air up from the south and will push temperatures close to 70 degrees while under mostly sunny skies.  This warm, moist air will help to develop cloud cover through Thursday with warmer temperatures in the 70’s.  Skies will be partly cloudy Friday through Sunday with highs in the low to mid 70’s, winds from 10-15 mph and rain chances only around 20 percent.

Synopsis: Warm air pushes in on Wednesday and this air will keep the area in the upper 60’s and the lower 70’s pretty much the rest of the forecast period.  Then, a cold front moves through Thursday night into Friday and this will not affect temperatures too much but this will bring drier air down and clouds will start to thin out.  As the cold front moves through South Texas during the day on Friday, this will pave the way for a quiet weekend.
