The United Way Day Of Caring is Right Around The Corner
Victoria – The 2018 United Way Day of Caring is just around the corner, and they are looking for your help.
Friday August 3rd has been designated the 2018 United Way Day of Caring. According to Dolly Stokes, director of the Victoria County United Way, over one hundred volunteers will be working on projects within the city and county, specifically, working on area Habitat for Humanity Homes, installing wheelchair ramps on several homes impacted by Hurricane Harvey, and also helping the Billy T Cattan Recovery Center renovate their new location on Crestwood. Stokes said she is looking for great volunteers to make this year a success.
“Victoria is so lucky to have volunteers to help throughout the the year whether its in partnership with our of our 18 agencies or helping with hurricane Harvey relief. If you have not volunteered yet, you still can,” said Stokes.
