The U.S. Marine Corps bans the public display of the Confederate Battle Flag
VICTORIA, Texas – The U.S. Marine Corps officially bans depictions of the Confederate battle flag in public and work spaces aboard an installation. This includes bumper stickers, clothing, mugs, posters, flags etc.
“The Confederate battle flag has all too often been co-opted by violent extremist and racist groups whose devise beliefs have no place in our Corps. Our history as a nation, and events like the violence in Charlottesville in 2017, highlight the divisiveness the use of the use of the Confederate battle flag has had on out society,” The Marine Corps said on their twitter page.
