VICTORIA, Texas – The Texas Zoo has announced it will require some guests to wear facial coverings at the park to protect its animals from COVID-19.
“Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases in our area we must take stricter precautions to ensure the safety of the animals entrusted to our care. Our animals rely on us to keep them protected and safe from infection. Starting this Saturday, June 27th, masks will be required for all guests over the age of 3. We take the safety of our animals, staff and guests seriously and are dedicated to complying with all professional recommendations as they are updated,” The Texas Zoo announced on its Facebook page.
