The Southside Community Coalition met June 7, 2021
The group meets for the betterment of the southside of Victoria
VICTORIA, Texas – The Southside Community Coalition met June 7 to address issues on Victoria’s southside. The group meets the first Monday of each month to try to bring a unified vision for the betterment of the southside of Victoria.
On May 1, the coalition elected new officers. Justin Urbano was elected President, Kem Calk was elected Vice President, Ashely Cano was selected as Secretary and Jodi Sandoval was elected Treasurer.
According to Urbano, the coalition has decided to have United Way act as its fiscal agent. That means United Way can accept money on the coalition’s behalf, which Urbano says is a big deal.
The Coalition is asking for volunteers for an event they have scheduled on July 24, 2021. This event is for children. For more details and to volunteer for the event, visit their Facebook page at Southside Community Coalition-Victoria, Texas or email them at email@example.com.
