The DeWitt County Office of Emergency Management will host the Emergency Response to HazMat class

CUERO, Texas- The DeWitt County Office of Emergency Management will host the Emergency Response to HazMat class.

This class will allow participants to gain knowledge on the big picture of things that must be considered during a HazMat incident.

Class is limited, so please register early.  This class will be all day Saturday and Sunday, Feb 8 – 9, 2020. It will take place at DeWitt Co. Office of Emergency Management
307 N. Gonzales St., Cuero, Texas 77954.

Participants are asked to register for the Emergency Response to Hazmats (ERHM) class and then complete the web-based
training perquisite. Please complete by Wednesday, February 5.

Please follow the directions on the attached flyer to register and register for the online class that must be completed prior to class.

Registration and WBT Instructions

Step 1: Create IAFF.org User Profile
Non-IAFF members or students who have never completed an IAFF class, click HERE to Create an
IAFF.org User Profile. You will then be directed to the class registration page.

IAFF Members click HERE to LOGIN. You will be redirected to the class registration page.
Step 2: Course Registration
Follow the instructions that are located on the course registration page. A course confirmation
email will be sent after successful registration.
Step 3: Web-Based Training (WBT)
Click to access the IAFF Online Learning Center. You will be prompted to login, register and then
complete the ERHM Hazards Recognition WBT prerequiste.

This interactive course will provide you with the opportunity to learn how to identify different
types of hazardous materials based on packaging and containers used to store and transport
these materials in and around your community.
*It is recommended to complete the WBT on a desktop, laptop or tablet
