DEWITT County – Here are some of the stories you can read in The Cuero Record this week.

Jiu-Jitsu has come to Cuero under the instruction of Jeff Bonugli. Jeff started his martial arts journey in 1975 and won the world master championships in 2014, 2016 and 2018.

The new grocery store, Brookshire Brothers, opens March 2 in Cuero.

Early voting began this week for the Primary election and continues through Feb. 25.

Annie Crain made homemade rose shaped chocolates and sold 220 boxes in just a few hours. This young entrepreneur donated a portion of the sales to Pet Adoptions of Cuero.

The Nordheim Pirates are District champions.

The Yorktown Kitty Kats are Bi-District champs after last night’s win over Riviera.

The Nordheim Lady Pirates are Bi-District champions. Last night’s win over the Dime Box Longhorns is the first playoff win for the girls basketball program since 2008.
