The Cuero Gobblers and the Yoakum Bulldogs are battling in the 111th rivalry football game

YOAKUM, Texas—- Cuero is going against their rival Yoakum tonight. They are scheduled to face each other in one of the oldest high school rivalries in the state of Texas. This is the 111th rivalry game between the two teams.
Back in 2019, Yoakum pulled off the win in this rivalry game with a score of 40-21. Currently, the Yoakum Bulldogs are undefeated with a record of 2-0. Last week, Yoakum played against the Palacios Sharks and won, 41-17.
Meanwhile, the Cuero Gobblers have not won a game this season, leaving them with a record of 0-2. This is the first time since 2011 they have started the season with a 0-2 record. Cuero’s Quarterback Breck Eleby has 235 passing yards and four touchdowns this season so far.
Tonight family and friends are in for a good one in tonight’s much anticipated rivalry game.
