The 2017 Bootfest Lineup
VICTORIA, TEXAS–Bootfest, Victoria’s largest free festival, announced their Main Stage entertainment lineup on Monday, July 10. Bootfest, celebrating its seventh anniversary in 2017, is recognized as one of the premiere music festivals in South Texas, seamlessly merging the genres of Country, Tejano, Rock, Folk, and Blues into a two-day, family-friendly event. This year’s festival takes place in beautiful Downtown Victoria October 6-7, 2017.
The festival kicks off on Friday, October 6 at 6PM with local country favorites, the No Chance Band. Following them is The Statesboro Revue, an Austin-based Southern Roots Rock band that has toured the Victoria music scene. Next up, Austin rock band Vallejo promises to get the crowd moving. Headlining Friday night is “A Tribute to Selena’s Music”, a tribute to the late Tejano sensation produced by Q-Productions of Corpus Christi, TX and featuring the performances of Pete Astudillo and Isabel Marie Sanchez.
On Saturday night, October 7, Fort Worth Tejano standouts Group Stampede get things started at 6:15PM. Texas country legend Roger Creager follows, with his high energy show and string of hits to please the crowd. Last and certainly not least is Saturday night and festival headliner, Casey Donahew who is one of the most popular Texas Country artists touring today.
“Our entertainment lineup truly reflects Victoria’s diverse taste in music” said Joel Novosad, Director of Explore Victoria Texas. “Bootfest is truly a community festival, and the fact that admission is free only strengthens that. We want to provide a fun, safe experience for all Victoria residents and visitors” he added.
Established in 2011, Bootfest has featured some of the top names in the Texas Country and Tejano scenes. Pat Green, Aaron Watson, Jaime y los Chamacos, Kevin Fowler, and Las Fenix are just a few of the acclaimed entertainers who have graced the Bootfest stage.
Great live music isn’t the only aspect of Bootfest; other activities include a large Kids’ Corral, western crafters and performers, the Dalton Trucking Car, Truck, & Motorcycle Show, dozens of great food and merchandise vendors, a washers tournament, and the Klean Corp International, Robby and Tami Burdge Fireworks Spectacular after the concert on Saturday night, October 7 (weather permitting).
