Texas files lawsuit in Victoria against Biden Administration
Lawsuit is over the Biden Administration's minimum wage mandate for federal contractors
VICTORIA, Texas—A lawsuit filed in Victoria Thursday by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton against the Biden Administration.
Along with his counterparts in Louisiana and Mississippi, Paxton is suing the Biden Administration over its 15 dollar-an-hour minimum wage mandate and new overtime pay requirements for federal contractors.
In the 32-page suit, filed Thursday in Federal Court in Victoria, attorneys for Texas argue that President Biden exceeded his authority in violation of the U.S. Constitution And Procurement Act. They ask the court to strike the mandates as unconstitutional.
