Synopsis: Hot and dry pattern continues, as high pressure dominates our weather. The main story will be the heat. with heat indices at or above 100 in the afternoon. High pressure will begin to break down by the weekend, allowing for better instability and better rain chances. Rain chances increasing first part of next week, as possible tropical development could develop in the NW Gulf. Remains to be seen what of any impact this system could have, but as we get closer in time, we will have a better idea regarding what may actually occur. As for now, the heat will be the main weather issue. So know your heat safety tips. ~ Trey
