Tonight: Partly cloudy and humid. Low: 78. Winds: SE 10 – 20 mph.
Friday: Partly cloudy and hot. High: 91. Winds: SE 10 – 20 mph.
Extended forecast: Saturday thru Wednesday: Highs low 90’s, lows mid to upper 70’s. Partly cloudy skies. Rain chances Monday through Wednesday.
Synopsis: Hot and dry conditions continue, with afternoon heat index value 100 plus. Heat safety is a must. High pressure ridge begins to move further west, allowing for more instability and better rain chances to return by the first part of next week. Periodic disturbances aloft will ride around the high pressure ridge and into our area. In response to that, rain chances return Monday and last through Wednesday. Some tropical moisture moving in off the Gulf around this same time will keep those rain chances alive. The main weather story for this week will be the heat. ~ Trey
