Sunrise Pet of The Week For Fri-Yay 6-10-22

Adopt Mikey

Pet Of The Week Graphic 5 28 21

Today is Fri-Yay, and here on Sunrise that means it’s also time for Pet of The Week.  A segment where we highlight a couple of shelter pets here in The Crossroads looking for their furrever homes.  This morning we want to introduce you to a furry dog friend from the Dorothy O’connor Pet Adoption Center here in Victoria.

Howie: Mikey is a black and white, 60-pound hound mix that is around 1 year and 3 months old.  He loves playing with toys, plays very very well with other dogs and is very friendly with cats.  Mikey recently had surgery on his hip on April 7th, but he is healing, recovering and improving nicely as I can barely hardly notice his scar.  Even though he is healing from hip surgery at the moment, he still loves playing with puppies and interacting with other dogs.  He has lots of energy, loves attention from people and loves to play outside.  He learns very very quickly. At the moment he knows how to kennel, to sit, to come to you, and does his very best to keep his kennel clean.  So let’s get this beautiful gentle, sweet boy to his forever home.

Here’s how you can get to the pawty or in general get in contact with the Dorothy O’connor Pet Adoption Center if you’re interested in Mikey or any other furry friend.

You can visit them at their location at 135 Progress Drive here in Victoria. You can also call them.  Their number is 361-575-8573.

If you’d like to take a look at all the furry friends they have waiting to find their furrever families.  All available cats and dogs are listed on their website at www.docpac.net.
