Sunny and Dry with Another Record Low Friday

Gulf Moisture Begins to Return by Friday Afternoon

High pressure continues to ridge from the Great Lakes across the Mississippi Valley into South Texas this afternoon, keeping a northeast wind for us at 5 to 10 mph. The result is another sunny, dry and warm afternoon, but also another chance for a record low Friday morning. The high moves east of the area and weakens by Friday afternoon as Gulf moisture begins its return to the region. Isolated showers and thunderstorms appear by Friday afternoon, then become numerous on Saturday as a warm front impinges on the Crossroads. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms to accompany higher levels of humidity from Sunday through the middle of next week. Beginning on Saturday, look for highs in the lower to middle 90s, with lows in the lower to middle 70s.
