Tonight: Clear skies and cold. Near freezing temperatures. Low: 34. Winds: S 5 mph.

Monday: Sunny skies. High: 68. Winds: S 10 mph.

Extended forecast: Tuesday through Sunday. Highs 40’s to the 70’s, lows 30’s and 40’s. Partly cloudy skies. Rain chances Thursday through Saturday.

Synopsis: Dry and cold day today, dew points only near 20 this afternoon. overnight lows again near freezing, but perhaps a few degrees warmer thanks to a southerly wind flow beginning. back up to near 80 on Wednesday, then a strong cold front will push through Wednesday night. Another blast of very cold air will enter the region. Highs in the 40’s likely by Friday and Saturday. Lows near freezing also at this time. low pressure is forecast to form just offshore, which will introduce rain chances Thursday through Saturday. so far, weather models show rather light amounts and small chances of rain overall. However, with overnight lows nearing the freezing mark Thursday and Friday, we will have to watch for a chance of frozen precipitation. As the time gets closer, we will have a better handle on the chances. ~ Trey
