Stroman Middle School students must do remote learning Tuesday

Stroman Middle School building needs additional work before students can return to campus

VICTORIA, Texas- The Stroman Middle School building is not suitable for use following last week’s winter blast. Maintenance crews are dealing with extensive damage due to broken pipes.

The Victoria I.S.D. will provide an update to Stroman Middle School students no later than 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Meal pick-up is available for students doing remote learning. Parents and their students can go to Crain or Chandler from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. Parents can pick up meals on the building’s cafeteria sides. Look for signs directing traffic. Students do not need to be present, but proof of a child under 19 must be shown.

Students at Aloe, Mission Valley, and Smith Elementary, Howell, and Patti Welder Middle School, and East High School will resume on-campus learning Tuesday, February 23, 2021 with a two-hour delay.

Tuesday start times:

Elementary 10 a.m. with doors open at 9:30 a.m.

Middle School 10:30 a.m. with doors open at 10 a.m.

High School 9:30 a.m. with doors open at 9 a.m.

School buses will resume their routes with the two-hour delay. So, if you are normally picked up at 6:30 a.m. expect a bus to arrive at 8:30 a.m. School dismissal is not affected by the two-hour delay.

Students who are learning remotely also return to learning with a two-hour delay. Secondary students will begin school in their third period class.
