Synopsis: The boundary/front is moving through the Crossroads on Friday, but will be heading away from the coast by about 10 pm Friday night. Energy from the sun will be decent, lift from the boundary, dry air behind the front undercutting the moist wet air, additional upward spin, increasing moisture levels (1.5″) as well as 35-45 fast moving upper level winds combined could lead to strong storms and even some severe weather.  Once again, strong storms and even severe weather could be a problem tonight.

The strong storms and severe weather threats will be over after the front clears the area (moves off the coast) around that time (10 pm).  Then, cold air will move in (temperatures in the 40’s) strengthening winds (30-35 mph) and plummeting wind chill temperatures into the 30’s.  Clouds will clear out on Saturday as highs stay in the 60’s (barely) and lows Saturday night into Sunday morning potentially dropping into the 30’s.

For the long term, Sunday through Thursday, the warmer air from the Gulf will move into the Crossroads on Sunday night and Monday thus pushing temperatures into the 70’s for highs before the next cool down on Monday night as another cold front pushes through the area.  Wind chill temperatures early in the week could drop into the low 30’s.

Tropical Update:  There are no weather features over the next 48-hours.
