STJ Football Ready To Get Back To Action 10/2

Flyers Have Not Played In Three Weeks

It’s been three weeks since St. Joe football played a game.
Two weeks ago, Houston-area flooding forced a cancellation of the Flyers game at Tomball Christian. Last week, St. Joe got a forfeit win from Hallettsville Sacred Heart. The Indians had too many injuries to play a game. So far, the Flyers are a go to play this Friday night. I asked two Flyers what it’s been like to have two straight games canceled.

Said WR/CB Jacoby Robinson, “It’s been a lot. Coach Jones has been working us pretty bad in practice, doing more conditioning, working as a team, just bonding with each other so we can get sharper for the season.”

Said SR/LB Monroe Hobbs, “It’s been good for us. We’ve had a lot of conditioning. We’ve been working together as a team and we’ve just been team bonding a lot. Just getting better at what we do.”

St. Joe football gets back to action Friday night at 6:00 in Uvalde against Rocksprings.
