STJ Football Preps For Final Pre-Season Scrimmage 8-22

Flyers Did Well In First Scrimmage

St. Joe football’s final preseason scrimmage, coming tonight.
The Flyers had their first scrimmage against Holy Cross last Friday at their Field Of Dreams. St. Joe is coming off a 6-4 regular season before losing in the first round of the playoffs. They’re bringing back seven All-District players from last year’s team, inlcuding All-State selection D’Ary Patton, but lose four starters on offense and five on defense. Our Sean Coffey asked two Flyers how high their expectations are this year.
Said RB/S KeAon Griffin,”We’ve got some good confidence this year. We’re ready, we’re ready. We feel like we’re gonna go way farther than we did this year. We got a great coaching staff to take us there, we’ve got good players, we’re gonna be coachable.”
Said WR/S Matthew Janak, “Expectations are very high. That’s been the precedent all year. And we’re gonna win it.”

St. Joe football’s final pre-season scrimmage comes up tonight in Corpus Christi against John Paul.
