Stifling Heat Continues for the Crossroads
VICTORIA, TX — The oppressive heat continues into your Fri-yay with a Heat Advisory in effect until 7PM this evening for all of the Crossroads. Breezy conditions will also continue into this weekend, with gusts up to 25 MPH possible at times. Moisture will continue to increase until we reach the breaking point, and we start getting some rain. We can also expect “cooler” temperatures in the low 90s with the rain, but only through the weekend and early next week. After that, high pressure returns to be our dominant weather pattern, bringing the heat back with it. Heat advisories are not expected this weekend, but Heat Indices will still be in the triple digits, which can be dangerous for some. Remember to drink plenty of water over the next week and bring your umbrella with you anywhere you go this weekend. Happy First Day of Summer!
