Yoakum, Texas -
In the Land Of Leather, Yoakum baseball players have been hitting the horsehide well this season.
The Bulldogs are doing so well, they are in round three of the playoffs. In the Area round, the Big Blue swept out Marion as part of its 15-game winning streak. Our Sean Coffey talked with two Yoakum baseball players about how big it would be to reach round four for the first time in five years.
Said senior Holden Lauer, "It would mean a lot. We haven't been to round four since like, five years ago. So that'd be big for the town, and for our team."
Said senior Hagan Garvin, "It'd mean a lot for Yoakum. Yoakum takes pride in winning, and that's one thing we want to continue is that right there."
