Victoria, Texas - UHV student-athletes had a great spring in the classroom.
University of Houston-Victoria student-athletes continue to find success in the classroom as 31 of the Jaguars have been named to the 2019 UHV Spring President’s List and Dean’s List recently released.
Nine student-athletes were named to the President’s List, while another 22 received recognition on the Dean’s List.
Earning recognition on the President’s List were softball players Michelle Revels, Angelica Davidson, Jordan Hoefling and Lauren Caka, along with soccer players Freja Magnussen, Uriel Garcia, Gian Marco Zancanaro, Lauren Leslie and Brody Patience. Also named to the President’s List was women’s golfer Kelly Swanson. All are also recognized on the Dean’s List as well.
Revels, Magnussen, Garcia and Leslie were named from the School of Arts and Sciences, while Zancanaro, Patience and Hoefling were named from the School of Business Administration, and Caka and Swanson from the School of Education, Health Professions and Human Development.
Women’s soccer lead the way with 10 players earning the academic honors, while men’s soccer and softball followed with eight each, along with three from golf and two from baseball.
Receiving recognition to the Dean’s List from the School of Arts and Sciences were Hayden Janner, James Rollins, Jacquelyn Clendening, Angela Nava, Bailey Kolb, Chole Rodriguez and Sabrina Calderon.
Named to the Dean’s List from the School of Business Administration were Alyssa Adames, Angelica Davidson, Erik Faeltstroem, Connor McCartney and Tristan Flores.
Students named to the Dean’s List from the School of Education, Health Professions, and Human Development were Nisa Ollivierre, Mary Kate Krueger, Richard Isom, Emily Flores, Jurnee
Fernandez, Daniel Gribben, Carmen Spring, Jean Bosco Irumva, Nathalia Canizalez and Abigail Torres..
The President’s List honors undergraduates who earn a 4.0 grade-point average on all work completed during the fall semester. To qualify for the Dean’s List undergraduates must earn at least a 3.5 GPA.
The recognitions are awarded each fall and spring semester. A minimum of nine semester hours, excluding courses in which grades of “Satisfactory” were earned, is required. Any student who earns a grade of “unsatisfactory,” “incomplete,” or D or F during the semester is excluded from consideration.
