Showers and Thunderstorms Pelt Central Portions of the Crossroads

Significant Rainfall to Persist through Weekend

Weakening upper level high pressure has allowed a plume of tropical moisture to enhance a sea breeze this afternoon, inducing scattered showers and thunderstorms over the Crossroads. The pattern favoring additional rainfall will persist through the weekend and well into next week as a series of minor upper level waves visits the region. Afternoon temperatures, for the most part, will remain in the 90s with heat indices in the triple digits. Morning lows will remain in the upper 70s.
