Showers and Thunderstorms Just East of the Crossroads, but Just Hot and Steamy Here

Rain Chances Wither for Next Several Days

A weak upper level disturbance that brought significant rainfall yesterday over Southeast Texas moved to just east of the Crossroads today, tantalizing us with showers and thunderstorms in the coastal waters. Very little rainfall dotted portions of Matagorda and Calhoun Counties. Skies will clear overnight then become mostly sunny for your Thursday, with only isolated showers once again appearing along the coast. Fair skies with hot afternoons and humid nights will prevail through Saturday, then isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms return Sunday and Monday with another upper air disturbance. Expect clearing with more heat and humidity toward the middle of next week. Highs will remain in the middle to upper 90s, with lows in the middle to upper 70s.
