Showers and Storms Will Continue; Heavy Rain is Possible

An active weather day in the Crossroads. We saw quite a bit of showers and storms this morning into the early afternoon hours. We are still seeing some light showers in the Crossroads. We will see more showers and storms redevelop tonight into Monday. A cold front did pass through the area today. Temperatures are in the 70s and 80s. We will continue with daily rain chances for the next seven days. The hurricane center is watching a tropical wave in the Caribbean right now. Hurricane Center is giving this area a twenty percent chance of development in the next five days. Regardless if the tropical wave develops or not, it will bring more moisture to produce more showers and storms.

We are continuing to watch Florence, Helene, and Issac. Florence is expected to rapidly intensify back into a major hurricane in the next few days moving towards the east coast. Helene is now a category one hurricane. Helene is expected to be a non factor to land. Tropical Storm Issac will strengthen into a hurricane soon as it continues to head westward.
