Shop With A Cop

Victoria – Many crossroads families went on a very special shopping spree this morning, and it was not only the shopping that was special, it was who they were shopping with.

Victoria Police, the Victoria One Hundred Club, as well as the folks at Target came together for a good cause. Shop With A Cop brought together kids and their families, along with officers from the Victoria Police Department to shop together, for Christmas items that these families might no be able to get otherwise. The folks with both Victoria Police and Target contacted local schools to find out those students most in need, and invited them to take part in Friday’s event. Elizabeth Theeuwes store manager with Target in Victoria, as she was giving out one hundred dollar gift cards to the students, said Friday’s event is a special way they can give back.

“At Target our number one priority is our guests, so what better way to give back to our local community than to be able to support them in this way. We just want to wish everyone a happy holiday,” said Theeuwes.

Exactly one hundred students, along with their families, took part in Shop With A Cop. Target donated ten thousand dollars in gift cards for Friday’s event.
