SHOOTING: Officials still searching for suspect

A shooting took place at Gulf Beach on Friday

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – According to the Corpus Christi Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 11,000 block of Gulf Beach, near Mile Marker 199, at approximately 8:35 p.m. on Friday. The call quickly upgraded from a citizen assist reference a disturbance to a shooting with injuries.

When officers arrived, they located three shooting victims. Officials described one male in his 30’s to have serious injuries and is currently in critical condition. They also described a 19-year-old male and a 16-year-old female to have non-life-threatening injuries. Officers continue to try to positively identify a suspect. Investigators were on the scene working to determine what led up to the shooting. As of last night’s update, officials did not have a suspect in custody.

According to CCPD’s Facebook post, they will provide an update as soon as they have additional details on the suspect’s description or any additional information related to the investigation.
