Shipt wants to deliver your “mom” this flu season

Feel better with your favorite caregiver

VICTORIA, Texas- We’re in the thick of flu and cold season and Texas is ranked as one of the top ten states with the highest flu activity according to The Weather Channel.

Shipt, a membership-based delivery service, wants to deliver what many need most when they’re sick-their “mom.” A spokesperson from Shipt explained that from now until the end of February, anyone feeling under the weather can enter the “Shipt Me My Mom” sweepstakes for a chance to win a visit from mom or dad, grandma, aunt, brother, friend, partner-the person who makes you feel better when you’re sick.

Four winners will be chosen at random and each winner will designate one caregiver who will receive a 3-day/2-night trip to visit the winner at their place of residence. Shipt will cover the costs of travel and accommodations, including flight and hotel, totaling an estimated retails value of $1,200.

Starting Thursday anyone can enter the sweepstakes by visiting this website and filling out the entry form and explaining how their loved one helps make them feel better. There is no purchase payment necessary to enter. The sweepstakes is open to both members and non-members of Shipt.

“Shipt is all about getting things delivered to people when they need it most, so when we thought about what many people want most when they’re sick, we thought why not deliver the person who knows how best to take care of them and what’s going to make them feel better? For a lot of us at Shipt, there’s nothing we want more than a loved one bringing us a warm bowl of chicken noodle soup,” said Kelly Caruso, Shipt CEO.

Beyond having your loved one dote on your ailing body you can also use Shipt to get sickness essentials delivered to your door. Shipt is now offering a curated list of top flu picks – the top purchased items during peak flu season last year like tissues, pain relievers and cough syrup – all delivered by Shipt shoppers from participating retailers while you stay in bed and get the rest you need.
